2026 NHL Mock Draft
The Toronto Maple Leafs have won the draft lottery and moved from No. 5 to No. 1. The San Jose Sharks move up to No. 2 from the No. 9 slot. The Canucks, Blackhawks, Rangers and Flames each drop two slots.
The draft order is based after the draft lottery, and after the first round, as of April 17th.
Things have changed a little bit at the top of the draft. Gavin McKenna and Ivar Stenberg remain the top two forwards, with Caleb Malhotra possibly moving into a potential top five pick. On the blue line, Chase Reid and Carson Carels have joined Keaton Vergoeff as the top defenseman. It's expected to be a stronger class than the 2025 NHL draft
