2017 NHL Draft Lottery Odds

The 2017 NHL draft lottery drawing will be held on Saturday April 29th.

The NHL has made changes to the draft lottery odds starting last year. The team with the worst record will have a harder time winning the draft lottery, as well as remaining in the top three.

There will be three draws this year -the first overall pick, then a draw for the 2nd overall, then one for the third overall pick.

After the drawing for the top three slots, the remaining four through 15 will go in inverse order of their regular season points.

The Vegas Golden Knights will be given the same odds as the team with the third fewest points, and they will draft no lower than sixth.
