Marcus Nordmark's Player Profile
Corey Pronman - The Athletic - December 10th: "He's 6-foot-2, skates well, is a gifted puck handler and can both pass and shoot the puck like an NHLer. He’s a flashy forward who can break open a shift. His effort level is just OK, though."Tony Ferrari - The Hockey News - December 8th: "Nordmark is using his teammates much more effectively without feeling the need to do it all himself. He can really get buzzing around the offensive zone, looking to pass the puck and get himself back into position to generate a scoring chance. His defensive game is a work in progress still."
Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - December 1st: "When fully engaged defensively he creates turnovers and explodes up ice with the puck on his stick. Opponents have to respect his speed and puck skill and time their gaps appropriately or Nordmark will expose them by making plays and driving the play to the net. "
Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - November 19th: "If that’s not consistency, I don’t know what is. I think his physical game is improving, but he needs to add more speed and urgency if he’s going to exceed outside of his age group."
Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - November 19th: "Approaches the game with a plan. Nordmark doesn’t use unnecessary energy in going to places on the ice where nothing happens. He’s efficient in his routes, arriving on time to the forecheck, or swooping in on the net-front."
Smaht Schouting - November 9th: "The tools he possesses are elite or close. His release is fantastic. He has incredible technical passing ability. He also thinks the game two steps ahead of most of his peers. However, he plays at a slower pace than you would like to see, he can spend too much time on the perimeter, and is often more of a “complimentary” player on his line."
Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Nov. 5th: "He’s a highly talented, shifty forward who has played all three forward positions at different points and has great (!) hands and instincts offensively. He can play in open space or in puck protection/traffic. He’s also got decent size and a hard, dangerous snap shot (one of the better ones I’ve seen in the age group) that he can blow past goalies."
