Our 2023 NHL Mock Draft
The Chicago Blackhawks have won the Draft Lottery and Connor Bedard sweepstakes.
The draft order is based on the final regular season standings and after the draft lottery, but before the Conference Finals and Stanley Cup Final.
The date for the 2023 NHL draft will be held on Wednesday, June 28th and Thursday, June 29th at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

First Round Traded Picks
# 12 -The Arizona Coyotes receive the Ottawa Senators 2023 1st round pick (top 5 protected), conditional 2024 2nd round pick ( ), and a 2026 2nd round pick for Jakob Chychrun.
# 17 -The Detroit Red Wings receive the NY Islanders 1st round pick (via VAN) (conditional - top 12 protected, unprotected in 2024) and a 2023 2nd round pick for Filip Hronek and a 2023 4th round pick. The Vancouver Canucks receive the New York Islanders 2023 first-round pick (top 12 protected, unprotected in 2024), Aatu Raty and Anthony Beauvillier for Bo Horvat. The Canucks retain 25 percent of Horvat's salary.
# 19 - The Chicago Blackhawks receive the Tampa Bay Lightning's 2023 1st round pick (top 10 protected, else a 2025 1st round pick) 2024 1st round pick (top 10 protected else a 2026 1st round pick), Taylor Raddysh and Boris Katchouk for Brandon Hagel, a 2022 4th round pick (# 103 - Kenny Connors) and a 2024 4th round pick.
# 22 - The Columbus Blue Jackets receive the Los Angeles Kings 2023 1st round pick (lottery protected), 2024 3rd round pick and Jonathan Quick for Vladislav Gavrikov and Joonas Korpisalo.
# 24 -The Nashville Predators receive the Edmonton Oilers 2023 1st round pick, 2024 4th round pick, Tyson Barrie and Reid Schaefer for Mattias Ekholm and a 2024 6th round pick.
# 25 - The St. Louis Blues receive the Toronto Maple Leafs 2023 1st round pick, 2023 3rd round pick (OTT), 2024 2nd round pick, Mikhail Abramov and Adam Gaudette for Ryan O'Reilly (50 percent salary retained) and Noel Acciari. The Wild retain a total of 25 percent of O'Reilly's contract and get a 2025 4th round pick. The Maple Leafs also get Josh Pillar from Minnesota.
# 26 - The San Jose Sharks receive the New Jersey Devils 2023 1st round pick, a conditional 2024 1st round pick, 2024 7th round pick, Fabian Zetterlund, Andreas Johnsson, Nikita Ohotiuk and Shakir Mukhamadulin for Timo Meier (SJ retains 50% salary), Scott Harrington, Timur Ibragimov, Santeri Hatakka, Zachary Emond and a 2024 5th round pick.
# 28 - The Toronto Maple Leafs receive the Boston Bruins 2023 1st round pick (via WSH) and Erik Gustafsson for Rasmus Sandin. The Washington Capitals receive the Boston Bruins 2023 1st round pick, a 2024 4th round pick, 2025 5th round pick and Craig Smith and for Dmitry Orlov (50% salary) and Garnet Hathaway.
# 29 - The St. Louis Blues receive the Dallas Stars 2023 1st round pick (via NYR) (conditional - less of NYR and DAL), conditional 2024 4th round pick, Sammy Blais and Hunter Skinner for Vladimir Tarasenko and Niko Mikkola. The New York Rangers receive the Dallas Stars 2023 1st round pick (top 10 protected, unprotected in 2024) and a conditional 2025 4th round pick (converts to a 2025 third round pick if Lundkvist records 55 points in the next two seasons) for Nils Lundkvist.
# 31 - The Montreal Canadiens receive the Florida Panthers 2023 1st round pick, Ty Smilanic, and a 2022 4th round pick for Ben Chiarot.
