James Scantlebury's Player Profile

Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - Nov. 4th: "He isn’t a burner for his size, but he makes up for it with his elite hockey sense. He has a knack for identifying how plays are developing and reacts accordingly. He’s especially dangerous on the power play."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Oct. 29th: "He plays with an engine and motor that keeps him highly involved in all three zones. He has a wide base that gives him good leverage over pucks for his size, but it's his heart that allows him to win battles against bigger, older players. He's comfortable attacking for himself or playing with pace in and out of give-and-gos."

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - Oct. 9th: "Scantlebury knows where he needs to be almost all the time, and he’ll try to outwork you no matter what. The knock against him, though, is while he’s always moving, he’s not particularly speedy and gets pushed around way too frequently."
