Maxmilian Mares's Player Profile

Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - Nov. 4th: "He skates very well for his stature, uses his reach as an advantage on both sides of the puck, and he’s very hard to defend. Mares is very competitive. He has the hockey sense to be deployed in all situations and play a role up and down the lineup."

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - Nov. 3rd: "His skating is heavy, though, and the lack of explosiveness will be a major issue for him at the next level. The hope is he's so big and skilled that he can overcome that. He projects as a third-line center."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Oct. 29th: "But he also has some practical development hurdles in his game. The most notable of them is his challenge in and out of his turns, which can look wide and slow when he needs to change directions. Scouts have taken stock of the recent development successes of towering forwards like the Protas brothers and Kieron Walton; if he's like them, he'll be in the first-round conversation for some"
