Vladimir Shtyrkhunov's Player Profile

Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - Nov. 4th: "Shtyrkhunov is a light, transitional defenceman who has the skill set to quarterback a top power play unit. He makes a sound first pass, joins the rush as an extra layer in transition, and makes plays in the offensive zone."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Oct. 29th: "He sees the ice well and often stretches it or feathers passes into space for his teammates. I wouldn't call him a game-breaker, but he's a talented right-shot with skill. He also has a comfortable one-timer and quick release, though his wrist shot lacks some pop (it does seem to have a little more snap this year, which is good), and he needs to get stronger and fill out a very wiry frame."

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - Oct. 9th: "He’s in the QMJHL now, where he has quickly shown how engaged he can be offensively, even on a bad team. I think he needs to bulk up and can be a bit more active defensively, but he’s definitely going to be interesting to watch."
