Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - December 1st: "Hextall is a Michigan State commit (2026) who started his season on a high note representing Team USA at the Hlinka/Gretzky Cup in the summer and contributing 2G-5A for the gold medal-winning American side. Hextall provides a combination of high-end compete and skill. He’s a playmaker who’s exceptionally dangerous on the power play."

I think the complete picture of what he could eventually become is a bit blurry, as he’s not the most dominant or most impactful player yet at the USHL level, but with the way he’s wired, the upside is tremendous."
