Elton Hermansson's Player Profile

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - December 10th: "He makes a ton of plays through defenders and to his teammates. He's a good skater who can play with pace. Without the puck, he's just OK and can be pushed to the outside when he does have it."

Tony Ferrari - The Hockey News - December 8th: "In the offensive zone, his one-timer is a threat whenever he's away from the puck. His defensive game is still a bit hit and miss, but more often than not, he's at least putting in the effort to get into position and pressure opposing players."

Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - December 1st: "Hermansson has loads of room to add strength to his frame, which will lead to more open ice power and pace. He’s best described as equal parts shooter/playmaker. Hermansson is deceptive with the puck on his stick. He draws attention before making a decision to release the play to the net or wait out a better passing option."

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - November 19th: "Hermansson absolutely loves to shoot, but scouts dock him points for some below-average playmaking when he’s not on the man advantage. Still, I really like his offensive potential and hope he keeps it up."

Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - November 19th: "Hermansson is more of a finesse player, always looking to make plays as opposed to bringing a physical brand of hockey. I would like to see him get inside a little more and use his good hands in front of the net instead of working off the walls."

Smaht Schouting - November 9th: "Quick thinking under pressure, using good small area skill and smart quick passes to navigate the more intense pressure of the pro level; that’s what I want to see out of young players when it comes to adapting to higher levels of play, and it comes naturally to him. I think the playmaking potential with him may go under the radar, but still, the goal-scoring remains his biggest offensive threat: he does a great job off-puck of floating into scoring areas and being a consistent option, and he can certainly rip a puck once it comes to him."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Nov. 5th: "He’s a right shot, but he has played a lot of both wings, and he impresses with his individual stick skill. He’s not the most well-rounded or defensively responsible winger, but he’s talented with the puck in his hands and a threat inside the offensive zone."
