Alexander Command's Player Profile

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - April 14th: "Instead, he’s a smart, solid two-way center who makes everyone around him better. He doesn’t seem to have many off shifts, and that’s because he’s effective away from the puck, too. He reminds me a bit of Milton Gastrin – someone who can contribute offensively but also will win faceoffs, block shots and make moves with intent."

Dauton Reimer - The Hockey Writers - March 25th: "In a similar vein to Suvanto is Alexander Command, who has thrived this season while playing a physical, two-way game mainly in the U20 Nationell league in Sweden. He is excellent at winning battles and getting the puck to his teammates, and he uses his strength and vision to drive to the inside, pushing past opponents to create space and scoring opportunities."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - March 17th: "Command is a good, balanced skater (though I wouldn't say it's a standout attribute). He has a quick release (both in stride and in catch-and-release) and has picked corners from some bad angles this year. He's not a super physical player, but he'll track pucks and knows where to be on both sides of the puck, arriving with good timing offensively."

Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - March 17th: "Command is flat out a “hockey player”. He doesn’t have any holes in his game, but he’s also not exceptionally elite in any one category. I value his consistency and the fact he can be deployed in all situations and on any line. Coaches love these kinds of trustworthy prospects."

Peter Baracchini - The Hockey Writers - March 10th: "He may not be flashy overall, but he’s effective and still possesses great skill when he has the puck. His playmaking, shot and attention to detail on the ice really stands out. He provides great support for teammates, can work give-and-go plays and open up seams very well to connect well with his line mates."

Smaht Scouting - February 27th: "What really stands out is how quickly he processes the game. That’s the type of trait that tends to translate as players climb levels. He moves pucks efficiently, makes plays under pressure, wins small-area battles along the walls and around the net, and shows a knack for creating defensive breakdowns through smart reads, pace, and intensity."

Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - February 25th: "And while the defensive foundation and high level of compete have not left his game, he’s proving that he can also produce at an elite level in the J20 loop. So much so that he’s earned SHL games as well. If his two-way game remains in place and the offence continues to peak, he will also be fascinating to track as we move closer to the draft."
