Team: Victoria (WHL)

Cole Reschny's Player Profile

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - June 10th: "He's not the most dynamic skater for a guy his size, but he will be able to move at an NHL level. He's on the smaller side, but Reschny can create at the net and kill penalties. He's played center in junior, showing a diligent two-way game."

Adam Kimelman - NHL.com - June 9th: "Reschny's speed and tenacity make him an appealing prospect. The 18-year-old is committed to play at the University of North Dakota next season, which should help him continue to add strength and develop his skills against older competition."

Mike Morreale - NHL.com - June 9th: "Reschny (5-10, 183) has good hockey IQ and instincts on both sides of the puck and can play power play or penalty kill. He led Victoria with 92 points (26 goals, 66 assists), scored seven power-play goals and won 56.4 percent of his face-offs in 62 games."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - June 2nd: "He’s highly skilled but also highly competitive and has driven both play and creation as a slightly smaller but athletic and involved center in the WHL. He’s got a motor but he’s also a natural playmaker, including when under pressure and with limited time and space."

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - May 27th: "Reschny’s ability to produce no matter the situation makes him so intriguing. He’s not huge, but he makes up for it with explosive speed and elusiveness, making him a tough player to contain on the rush. He’s an outstanding playmaker, maybe one of the best in this class."

Tony Ferrari - The Hockey News - May 12th: "Despite his small stature, Reschny plays a much tougher game than you’d expect when it comes to battling through pressure. He’s constantly going into battles he has no business winning, but he comes out with the puck."

Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - March 26th: "He will eventually add more strength to his frame, which will lead to more of an interior game. But for now, he relies on his speed and skill to push opponents off their blue line when he is coming through the neutral zone."

Smaht Scouting - March 23rd: "Cullen Potter is a well-rounded, competitive center who brings energy, pace, and responsible play in all three zones. He’s a strong skater with excellent crossover acceleration, which allows him to generate separation in transition and stay tight to attackers on the backcheck."
