Adam Benak's Player Profile

Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - March 26th: "Darting, undersized, quick strike forward who’s uber-competitive and can quarterback the power play. (53GP-16G-38A)"

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - March 25th: "Benak is tiny but he’s also one of the best skaters and smartest forwards in the draft and the more I’ve watched him and asked around about him the more inclined I’ve been to trust he has a real chance to defy the odds of his size. His skating, skill and smarts all get very high marks, with a standout quickness from a standstill that matches his quick reads of the ice."

Smaht Scouting - March 23rd: "He plays with a particularly impressive motor, constantly moving his feet and engaging with the opposition when they have possession of the puck. He’s also a very smart player, able to sneakily find soft areas in the opposition’s defensive zone coverage and capitalize on chances with a quick, accurate release and above average puck skills."

Tony Ferrari - The Hockey News - February 28th: "His shot is underrated, but he needs to get to the dangerous areas a bit more to make it as effective as possible. Benak is a highly skilled offensive creator, but he must continuously show he can handle bigger, stronger competition because of his size."

Adam Kimelman - NHL.com - February 21st: "Benak (5-7, 160) plays with a chip on his shoulder that most undersized players need, but he reinforces it with great skating and acceleration, nice hands and a willingness to fight for his positioning down low in the offensive zone."
