Chris Peters - Flo Hockey - June 3rd: "A bit of a thorwback defenseman, Skahan uses his physical strength to his advantage. His offensive game is not close enough to ensure he’d be a top-four defenseman at the next level, but the athletic toolkit and competitiveness he brings leads me to believe he’s going to carve out a role one day as a shutdown defenseman with some physical bite."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - June 3: "His gap-ups still need some work but he’s a good skater going forward and has some real power to his stride. He’s vulnerable to getting beat wide by quicker players and can misread plays and pull himself out of position and then have to recover, but when he’s dialled in he can make life hard on opposing carriers."
