Teddy Stiga's Player Profile

Mike Morreale - NHL.com - June 11th: "Stiga (5-10, 178) might have been the most improved NTDP player from last season, when he played a fourth-line role on the U-17 team. This season he was effective in a top-six spot, finishing third on the team with 79 points (36 goals, 43 assists) in 61 games. "

Chris Peters - Flo Hockey - June 3rd: "He’s tenacious off the puck and has shown he can score on his own. Because of his skating ability and compete level, I’m not as concerned Stiga’s size will hinder him significantly, or at all."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - June 3: "He always seems to be in the mix of the play offensively on his line and producing and making plays when they’re there to be made. He’s got a great feel for the game and on-ice awareness. He’s consistently noticeable.

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - May 28th: "Stiga's only real issue is his frame at barely 5-foot-10. I don't know if he's dynamic enough at that size, but it's a debate, and he has a puncher's chance to carve out a bottom-six role in the NHL because of his talent and consistency."

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - May 28th: "Stiga brings boundless energy to every shift, buzzing through the ice like his life depends on it. I think he’s a middle-six player in the NHL, but he can play with anyone and in just about any role. That type of versatility makes him very useful."

David Saad - Dobber Prospects - Apr. 20th: "Stiga’s absurd intelligence and speed make sure he’s never too far from the action and his ability to create turnovers with good body positioning and simple puck plays make sure the puck is always going his direction. Even when things get tough, his ability to adapt, to both recognize and play with what the opponent gives him makes his NHL translatability very real."

Tony Ferrari - The Hockey News - Apr. 15th: "Stiga has never seen an opponent he won’t outwork, and the growth in his skill and processing throughout this season has been amazing. Stiga is one of the only players in the draft who will take the puck away from the opposing team in the defensive zone, work his way up the ice in transition and create an offensive chance."
