Defensively, He's below average in the defensive end, so there's a lot of work to be done on him by the team that drafts him, but the size and skill combination are going to give teams."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - June 3: "He’s not a strong athlete or skater and needs to get stronger. He relies on his offensive smarts and calm. He does have a lanky, long frame to fill out, though, and some puck skill and offensive intuition."

He's a big man, but he doesn't use his body as much as you'd like to see, and his defensive play is just okay.
