Nikita Artamonov's Player Profile

Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - June 11th: "He reads how the play is developing and pounces to create turnovers and scoring chances. Hes stocky and strong with better than average battle along the boards. Artamonov executes very well on the power play."

Chris Peters - Flo Hockey - June 3rd: "Artamanov is not a big player, but he is strong on his skates and was able to stand up to the battles and pressure against pros in the KHL. He has quick hands, makes creative plays and showed quality finishing ability. His ability to read plays and anticipate at the professional level showed an ability beyond his years as well."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - June 3: "Artamonov's a skilled and spatially aware left-shot right winger who plays the game to get open and apply pressure when the puck gets to him with his quick hands and good feel for the game. He knows who he is and how to best fit into a line, he plays within himself, and he allows the game - and the play - to come to him."

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - May 28th: "Artamonov isn't that big, he isn't a natural finisher, and while he competes well enough, I wouldn't call him the type of competitor you'd love to have in a small winger. It's why he projects more as a middle-six scorer."

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - May 28th: "He has quickly become one of my favorite wingers due to his high-end hockey IQ and how he gets into scoring position. He only had a handful of goals in the KHL, but the more he plays, the better he plays. He was excellent in the MHL playoffs, too."

Graham Montgomery - Dobber Prospects - Apr. 20th: "The highlight of his game remains his dogged work ethic. Similarly, he uses inside body positioning and determined stick checks to outwork and strip opponents along the boards. He processes the game at a high speed, recognizing where and when to take advantage of open space in the offensive zone, making him a consistent threat off the puck."

Tony Ferrari - The Hockey News - Apr. 15th: "He constantly tries to pull off high-skill plays when he has the puck. Although they dont always connect, he is so close to pulling some really fun things off as a playmaker. His puckhandling is very similar to his passing in that he always tries to do something, even if it means he fails a few times."
