Michael Hage's Player Profile

>Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - June 11th: "He’s a massive threat to score goals and create offence on the power play. His clear cut element is his offensive upside. Defensive detail is a commitment that Hage has to work on as he matures."

Adam Kimelman - NHL.com - June 11th: "Hage (6-foot, 188) plays with a physical edge and impressed with his ability to take over games late in the season. The 18-year-old was fourth in the United States Hockey League with 75 points (34 goals, 42 assists) in 54 games, including 27 points (10 goals, 17 assists) in his final 14."

Mike Morreale - NHL.com - June 11th: "He is considered a two-way player with a lot of creativity. Hage led Chicago in scoring during the regular season and had four points (two goals, two assists) in two USHL playoff games."

Chris Peters - Flo Hockey - June 3rd: "He challenges defenders with his speed, but has the hand skills to beat them one-on-one. His shot is high end and he can get it off in stride. Hage processes the game at speed and can make a lot of high-level plays."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - June 3: "Hage is a natural center who has it all. He’s got pro size and skating, he’s got dual-threat skill as a shooter and passer, he’s naturally talented as a handler, he can create for himself or elevate a line, he plays hard, he stays on pucks, he battles, and he reads the game at an advanced level with an intelligent approach to the way he maneuvers around the ice."

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - May 28th: "Hage has the potential to break open a game, but I do find his game to be inconsistent and too perimeter at times. He projects as a middle-six wing with a chance to be more."

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - May 28th: "He can shoot, get feisty and strip you of the puck with ease. Hage had to play some catch-up, but he’s ahead of most of the pack right now."

Sebastian High - Dobber Prospects - Apr. 20th: "His powerful and agile skating paired with high-end handling skill and on-puk composure make allow him to dominate junior competition in transition. Offensively, too, he can turn nothing into something in the blink of an eye; unpredictable and adaptable on-puck, and riding defenders’ blind spots adeptly to get himself to high-danger positions in and around the slot."

Central Scouting - Apr. 16th: "His compete level is strong in all three zones and he is the go-to guy on his team. Plays a two-way game and wants the puck on his stick when things matter the most to either score a big goal or set up his teammates."

Tony Ferrari - The Hockey News - Apr. 15th: "His skating stride can look a little wonky, with his pushes coming out to the sides rather than right back and a bit of a bent-over posture. With that said, Hage gets around the ice fairly well, and he certainly doesn’t let his inefficient skating hurt him in transition, where he is constantly asked to carry the load by the Steel."
