Harrison Brunicke's Player Profile

Chris Peters - Flo Hockey - June 3rd: "A solid two-way defenseman with some size and good defensive sense, Brunicke probably lacks the overall skill to be a major producer at the next level. As a 6-foot-3, right-shot defenseman with solid athleticism, he is going to be a guy teams take a chance on, probably earlier than here."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - June 3: "His statistical profile doesn’t pop but he’s got good size, skating and sense and he showed a real willingness to join the rush and look for opportunities off of the offensive zone blue line on a rebuilding Blazers team this year. I think he’s got another level to find offensively (he has shown some skill on the puck even if it’s not dynamic)."

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - May 28th: "Brunicke can make some tough plays, but he forces a lot of his decisions, doesn't always see the ice well and is running around in his own end. He probably isn't a big points type as a pro, but with his feet, length and a strong compete level if he's just OK with the puck he can be a third-pair defenseman."

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - May 28th: "I do know there’s been some interest from teams looking for a big, right-handed defenseman who can play a bunch of different roles. He’s quite smart with the puck, and I feel like his offensive abilities are better than his numbers suggest."

Luke Sweeney - Dobber Prospects - Apr. 20th: "Harrison Brunicke is a heady, smooth-skating, 6’3 RHD, qualities that show up in every area of his game. In the offensive zone, Brunicke scans well and makes quick decisions while also showing a willingness to get off the boards and evade pressure through creativity and confident puckhandling. While Brunicke has the skill and inclination to activate as the weakside defenceman, Brunicke’s transition abilities are more frequently demonstrated through his zone exits."
