Dean Letourneau's Player Profile

Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - June 11th: "He leans shooter more than distributor overall. There’s a ton of potential upside in his game, but the level he played this past season is well below some of his counterparts on this list."

Chris Peters - Flo Hockey - June 3rd: "He’s going to be on a long development timeline because there’s still a rawness to his game and it’s harder to gauge hockey sense when the game seemingly comes easy to the player at the level they’re at. Letourneau is slated to go to the USHL next season and head to Boston College after that."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - June 3: "He's a great athlete for his, with legitimate natural athleticism. When he finishes his checks (which he needs to do more of), he can overpower opposing players at the boards or muscle through in control. Off the cycle, players at the prep level don't engage with him, which allows him to take pucks off the wall and make plays with his good sense on the puck."

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - May 28th: "The debate on Letourneau will be how real his offense is. The athlete is obvious, but is he actually NHL smart or does he have NHL scoring ability? It's so hard to pinpoint at the low level of competition he faced all season. He could be Tage Thompson, but he could be Joe Colborne or Riley Tufte."

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - May 28th: "The 6-foot-7 forward moves so well for his size, and he has a net-front presence teams will die for. His numbers have been tremendous, scoring at more than a goal-per-game pace and lifting St. Andrew’s up more often than not."

David Saad - Dobber Prospects - Apr. 20th: "Letourneau has a great understanding of positioning his body in transition to protect the puck and is able to find lanes other’s can’t by just muscling people. I am a little concerned he’s reliant on his size as Letourneau doesn’t seem to have an answer to strong defenders who plant their feet and challenge him head on."
