Cole Eiserman's Player Profile

Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - June 11th: "The issue with Eiserman is his risk/reward approach. He has a long way to go playing with 200-foot detail that the pro game requires from even the top scorers. He’s fast enough and strong enough for the NHL."

Adam Kimelman - NHL.com - June 11th: "But is he just a sensational shot? Scouts seem to be torn on that issue. Some believe he can become more of a threat as a playmaker and be more reliable defensively."

Mike Morreale - NHL.com - June 11th: "Eiserman (6-foot, 197) possesses one of the best shots of any player in the draft class and can utilize that big asset every shift from anywhere in the offensive end."

Chris Peters - Flo Hockey - June 3rd: "Eiserman’s shooting ability, especially with his lethal one-timer, is as good as it gets in this class. His tumble down the draft board, however, is the result of some concerns over his overall hockey sense and lack of value away from the puck. He’s improved elements of his game, but not to the degree to be viewed as anything more than a goal scorer."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - June 3: "I actually think he's a better skater than he has been given credit for in conversations I’ve had with folks about him, too (it’s above-average), but it’s his puck skill, quick release, shot variety (he can rip it in motion, off catch and releases, standing still and from a one-timer, and he’ll make goalies guess wrong in alone because of how fast his hands are) and sneaky strength (when he uses it, which he has started to do more of) that have allowed him to create with relative ease against his peers — though how easy that part of the game has always been to him has also created some bad habits."

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - May 28th: "His consistency isn't the best and can be a frustrating player to watch at times, but I don't think he's soft and actually had some physical bite in his game. Despite all his faults, Eiserman is also a goal-per-game player in junior, so you ride the wave with him. He projects as a legit top six wing in the NHL."

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - May 28th: "Defensively, Eiserman can be invisible, though. I think the upside is still huge but at this point, you’re going to need a more defensively responsible center to take the pressure off him. The right usage will allow Eiserman to be a star, and I truly believe in him."

Hadi Kalakeche - Dobber Prospects - Apr. 20th: "Eiserman doesn’t need a clean pass, either — we’ve seen him take a puck in his feet and rifle it into the top corner with one fluid, downforce-laden jolt. The off-puck movement in the offensive zone to find space and exploit his biggest strength is also a treat to watch."

Central Scouting - Apr. 16th: "Good skater, smart getting to the openings and can pull away on the fly. Smart game with puck in traffic, good hands and moves well skating and distributing the puck. Gets involved in forecheck battles and plays a responsible good two-way game."

Tony Ferrari - The Hockey News - Apr. 15th: "His defensive game isn’t a strong suit, and it likely never will be, but the offensive game is what a team is drafting him for. Eiserman is a lethal shooter who can score from a distance and clean up the mess around the net."
