Cole Beaudoin's Player Profile

Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - June 11th: "Beaudoin is a hulking forward who provides a mix of power and finesse. His skating will be scrutinized, and certainly has room to improve, but he arrives on time in all three zones. Beaudoin has the hockey sense to be used in all situations."

Adam Kimelman - NHL.com - June 11th: "Beaudoin is a fantastic athlete with a high-end compete level who patterns his game after Columbus Blue Jackets forward Boone Jenner."

Mike Morreale - NHL.com - June 11th: "The strong, left-handed shot is a well-conditioned athlete with fantastic compete and hockey sense. A responsible 200-foot player, the 18-year-old likely will play on the wing once he reaches the NHL."

Chris Peters - Flo Hockey - June 3rd: "His offensive game is not particularly exciting, but he plays a brand of hockey that helps teams win games. Beaudoin is an extremely aggressive, physical forward whose relentlessness in puck pursuit is truly remarkable. He’s a dogged competitor who never quits on plays, wins a lot of battles and has the physical strength to outmatch many of his age peers currently."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - June 3: "Though he's definitely not quick (which showed up in the on-ice testing in Moncton) and he needs to work on his skating and hands, he's a strong and sturdy skater once he gets into his stride, which allows him to get after it on the forecheck (where he excels) and backcheck (he really tracks pucks) and drive play down ice. He’s also got a high-end motor that never stops, even late in games and late in shifts, constantly applying pressure and leaning on players to win pucks."

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - May 28th: "He can create offense in junior, but with a somewhat heavy skating stride, the debate is in how his game will translate to the pros. I've seen him get by enough defenders and think his compete is so good that his game will work in a potential third-line center role."

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - May 28th: "He just missed out on a point per game with Barrie this year, but between the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, the U-18s and his strong play throughout the season, we’re looking at a multi-faceted scoring threat with size and a nice shot."

Hadi Kalakeche - Dobber Prospects - Apr. 20th: " He hunts loose pucks down on the forecheck and, with his top-of-the-class puck protection mechanics, extends offensive zone sequences on his own. Although Beaudoin’s puck skills aren’t much to write home about, his small-area playmaking gels extremely well with his defensive engagement and forechecking tools."
