Artyom Levshunov's Player Profile

Rachel Doerrie - ESPN - April 2nd: "He has developed at light speed, leading scouts to believe that he could be an impactful two-way defenseman at the NHL level. He makes a good first pass, finds shooting lanes and is a dominant force."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - March 25th: "He’s a heady passer and shot shaper but mostly impacts games offensively with how eager and loose he plays as a carrier and activator who confidently leads exits and entries and loves to hop off the line (including deep into the O-zone) and join the rush whenever he can with his skating. He also walks the line proficiently and can escape and control the puck against pressure, which allowed him to produce very high shot totals at MSU."

Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - March 13th: "All the elements in his game are translatable to the NHL. There are times when he tries to force plays as opposed to taking the simpler way out, but his talent will outgrow that picky criticism."

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - March 12th: "He makes enough stops to ease most evaluators' concerns given how much offense he brings. He has the potential to be an impact NHL defenseman who scores at a premium level."

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - March 9th: "Levshunov is a great triple threat as a physical, two-way defenseman and, he’s as competitive as it gets. But then you’ll find his spatial awareness seems to lack in his own zone from time to time."

Peter Baracchini - The Hockey Writers - March 7th: "He can take too many risks and his reads and positioning can be off and ultimately costing him on the defensive side of the puck. However, with his size, mobility and offensive upside, there are going to be teams lining up for a player that can be active and impactful in the offensive zone."

Mike Morreale - NHL.com - March 1st: "Levshunov (6-2, 208) defends well, exhibits poise along the blue line, and gets shots through on the power play ... His ceiling is tremendous for a player at his position and that's the reason he claims this spot."
