He competes hard enough but isn't overly physical, is 5-foot-11 and doesn't create a ton of offense at the net. For those reasons I'm more skeptical of his NHL projection than some even if I see the path to getting games."

Between his 5-on-5 play, his experience on the power play and the playmaking he brings to the table, Basha could be a solid top-six contributor for an NHL team one day."

No matter how fast he’s chugging along, Basha’s head is always up, maintaining his keen awareness for where his teammates are to make deceptive and timely slot passes. Especially with his speed, Basha has some checking upside, but at the moment he is not much of a defensive stalwart."
