Cagnoni is undersized for a defender which leads to some struggles in his own end at times but his mobility could give him a path to becoming a decent transition defender."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - June 5th: "Cagnoni’s small and his feet noticeably kick back through his forward skating stride, but he’s a plus-level skater in every other way and his mobility is considered a major strength on the whole. He walks the line really well, defends with his feet, can lace shots through or attack into space to use his quick release."
