Tristan Luneau's Player Profile

Brock Otten - McKeen's Hockey - Nov. 16th: "Luneau recently returned to action earlier than expected from offseason surgery on a lower body injury, so scouts will need to be patient with him as he regains his form."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Nov. 3rd: "His game isnít dynamic, but heís a smooth-skating (without being explosive) right-shot defenseman who can competently run a power play, heís a plus-level passer (he doesnít have a big shot), he reads the play at a high level with and without the puck at both ends, he plays with a great deal of poise, and heís good in transition."

Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - Nov. 3rd: "Thereís massive upside in the potential of this player based on puck handling skills and the ability to make a good first pass. Getting completely back to game shape following a lower-body injury will be key in realizing this potential."

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - Oct. 25th: "Heís highly intriguing as a 6-foot-2 right-shot defenseman with a high skill level who can move it well out of his own end and create well inside the offensive zone. Heís a fine, but not a strong skater though and thatís the main concern on his game with scouts as he advances levels."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Sept. 15th: "I wouldnít call his game dynamic, but heís a smooth-skating right-shot defenseman who can competently run a power play, heís a plus-level passer but not a shooter, he reads the play at a high level with and without the puck at both ends, plays with a great deal of poise, and excels in transition."

Brayden Olafson - Dobber Prospects - Sept. 3rd: "His most prominent and projectable offensive technique is to use his abrupt and nimble footwork to evade blueline pressure and get quick shots through traffic on net. Luneau makes quick adjustments to his defensive positioning and engages actively in loose puck battles, covering for his defense partner when necessary."

Ben Kerr - LWOS - Aug. 9th: "His vision and passing skills are very good. He is effective in starting the transition game with a good first pass. He is also very good at controlling the puck at the blueline and setting up scoring chances."
