Joakim Kemell's Player Profile

Brock Otten - McKeen's Hockey - Nov. 16th: "He is threatening Florida Panthers star Aleksander Barkovís U18 scoring record and for that reason he has passed Brad Lambert as the top player available from Finland. Kemell is just so electric in transition because of his speed, creativity, and finishing ability."

Ryan Kennedy - The Hockey News - Nov. 11th: "Red-hot start to season saw him lead the Liiga in scoring. Kid has a wicked release and will be a weapon at world juniors."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Nov. 3rd: "Kemellís a slick, play-creating winger who excels in possession, carves teams up through coverage to take play from the flanks to the interior, and possesses quick hands."

Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - Nov. 3rd: "Is on pace to put forth one of the best U18 seasons in the history of Finlandís top pro league."

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - Oct. 25th: "He has a very high skill level, showing great creativity and ability to generate chances with his speed, IQ and skill versus men. Kemellís shot is a weapon, but heís not perimeter and can generate chances with his physical effort."

Bob McKenzie - TSN - Sept. 30th: "Kemell is 5-foot-11 but plays a high-skill, high-energy game. He was outstanding at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup this summer and has lit up Finlandís Liiga with six goals in his first eight games."

Craig Button - TSN - Sept. 30th: "Combines skill and will to find ways to make an impact. He's invested in the hard areas and doesn't allow himself to be denied easily. Productive offensively with his shot or his passing."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Sept. 15th: "Heís a slick, goal-scoring winger who excels in possession, knifing in and out of coverage to take play from the flanks to the middle of the ice so that his quick hands and dangerous wrister, which he can get off quickly from a variety of stances and at a variety of tempos, can take over."

Marek Novotny - Dobber Prospects - Sept. 3rd: "He is a very skilled and dangerous winger who possesses a lethal shot and he will definitely fill the net with a lot of pucks. Kemell just wants the puck on his stick so he can be the difference-maker, and rightfully so as he is a very creative and confident player."

Steven Ellis - The Hockey News - Aug. 9: "From the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup - While the tournament didn't end up the way Finland was hoping for, Kemell was a bright spot for the fourth-place outfit. Kemell's shot was a highlight of the event, highlighted by his five goals and six points in five contests."
