Sebastian Cossa's Player Profile

Adam Kimelman - NHL.com - July 12th: "Scouts also like the 18-year-old's calm and controlled movements, his competitiveness and ability to read plays."

Mike Morreale - NHL.com - July 12th: "Cossa was 17-1-1 with a 1.57 GAA, a .941 save percentage and four shutouts in 19 games."

Hockey Prospecting - July 8th: "Cossa had an out of this world.941 save percentage (the Covid-19 Alberta WHL division was a very weak one, however). He was also starting and performing very well last year with the Oil Kings. Cossa is also gigantic (6’6”) which is important when it comes to goalies."

Josh Bell of FC Hockey - July 8th: "Cossa is a tower in the net and has the technical and athletic ability to be a star at the next level. He’s quick with strong rebound control, and great tracking."

Derek Heumeier of FC Hockey - July 8th: "A huge netminder who doesn’t just rely on his size, as he also displays excellent mobility, reflexes and athleticism"

Danny Tiffany - Dobber Prospects - July 7th: "Cossa, the 6-6 giant, doesn’t let his size slow him down as he is really good on his edges and displays impressive footwork for a goaltender of that size. His hands are active and he does a really good job of directing rebounds to safe areas."

Scott Wheeler - The Atheletic - June 22nd: "His size, positioning (he does a really good job holding his outside edges to be patient on shots) and reflexes help him block and grab a lot of pucks, but it’s his ability to bounce back into his stance or change directions with passes that separates him."

Steve Kournianos - The Draft Analyst - May 24th: "His post-to-post movements are both explosive and clean, and it isn’t often that he pushes himself well out of position."

Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - May 12th: "Issuing hall passes to any team that takes a goalie in the first round this year, and this year only. Aside from that Cossa, a mass of humanity at 6-foot-6 and 212 pounds, is athletic, technically sound, and confident in his abilities."

Mike G. Morreale - NHL.com - Apr. 23rd: "The 18-year-old has great athleticism and scouts like how he never gives up on the play."

Danny Tiffany - Dobber Prospects - Mar. 8: "It’s Cossas raw potential that is so intriguing. At 6’6 Cossa displays really good tracking of the puck and reacts well to first shots. His hands are active and seemingly never drop when he drops, an impressive feat."

Tony Ferrari - Dobber Prospects - Feb. 22nd: "Cossa has the size you’d like in a goaltender and he possesses good athleticism in his crease. He is positionally sound with his massive frame taking up so much space. He has a quick glove and active legs when in the butterfly. "
