Corson Ceulemans' Player Profile

Adam Kimelman - NHL.com - July 12th: "The big (6-2, 198) right-shot defenseman is an outstanding skater who can lead the rush and use his speed to create chances in transition and in the offensive zone."

Mike Morreale - NHL.com - July 12th: "A projected future top-four defenseman with a high ceiling capable of playing big minutes in all situations."

Hockey Prospecting - July 8th: "Ceulemans is younger version of Edvinsson and Chayka. Ceulemans only got into a few games in the AJHL (a low tier junior league) before it got shut down again due to Covid-19. In those few games he was generating a lot of production but the sample size was way too small."

Josh Bell of FC Hockey - July 8th: "He can create opportunities for himself and his teammates, but he does need to improve his effort and decision-making off the puck."

Justin Froese of FC Hockey - July 8th: "His upside is potentially one of the higher in the draft, if he can become a trusted and accountable defender."

Nick Richard - Dobber Prospects - July 7th: "Ceulemans’ development path could be longer than some other players in this range but he has the potential to reward the patience of whichever team selects him. Despite some mechanical imperfections in his skating stride, he gets around the ice well enough to cause fits for oncoming forecheckers in the AJHL."

Scott Wheeler - The Atheletic - June 22nd: "He’s right-handed. He’s big, and sturdy, and athletic and he uses his heaviness to play a rugged style against the rush and in his own zone along the wall (though he can also settle into lackadaisical defensive posture a little too often and get caught puck-watching)."

Steve Kournianos - The Draft Analyst - May 24th: "Marrying all his positives into shift-to-shift consistency has been a battle, however, and even a decent offensive showing at the under-18 world championship also revealed positional issues on the defensive side."

Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - May 12th: "Progressed well from the start of the U18s to the end, but at times he leaves you wanting more."

Mike G. Morreale - NHL.com - Apr. 23rd: "The right-handed shot has the potential to become a top-four NHL defenseman able to play big minutes in all situations."

Nick Richard - Dobber Prospects - Mar. 8: "He is a powerful skater with good size and plays an aggressive offensive game, constantly pushing the pace for his team. Ceulemans often acts as a one-man breakout and his ability to carry the puck up ice stands out."

Tony Ferrari - Dobber Prospects - Feb. 22nd: "Ceulemans is an all-out offensive blueliner who will need to do some reigning in."
