Carson Lambos' Player Profile

Cam Robinson - Dobber Prospects - : "Heís a staunch defender and has shown capable of generating offense at the WHL and Finnish junior ranks. I question his pure upside there as an NHLer, but his floor looks mighty safe."

Joel Henderson - Dobber Prospects - Feb. 3rd: "His vision and elusiveness on the ice is a wonderful asset but as you peel the layers of the defensive onion there are worries. Iíve looked around and as of yet I havenít found anyone to put at 15 ahead of Lambos, but Iím sure I will after all is said and done."

Mike G. Morreale - NHL.com - Jan. 23rd: "Lambos is a two-way defenseman who has shown good patience in the defensive zone and in transition."

Steve Kournianos - The Draft Analyst - Jan. 21st: "Heís blessed with impressive multi-directional mobility and uses powerful leg drive and quick thinking to neutralize an opponentís time and space. His decision to play his draft year in Europe is just one example of his dedication to the game, and many people familiar with his make-up say they arenít the least bit surprised."

Craig Button - TSN - Dec. 15th: "Excellent skater who is very effective beating pressure defensively and moving play forward in transition. Calm and settled in his play but looks to exploit opportunities."

Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - Nov. 27th: "Impressive WHL point totals (32 in 57 games) last season considering he was tasked with the toughest match-ups defensively as a rookie."

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - Oct. 8th: "Heís a very mobile defenseman. His edgework is excellent, heís able to turn up the ice and rush pucks very well, and can close on quick forwards efficiently. The offensive skill in his game doesnít pop, but heís a heads-up passer with some blue line creativity and great vision."

Ryan Quigley - Broad Street Hockey - Oct. 8th: "His defensive game is strong, but heís also a dynamic puck-mover capable of orchestrating mesmerizing end-to-end rushes. Of course, even though he has the ability make highlight-reel offensive plays, being a shutdown defender is his top priority."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Sept. 14th: "Heís physically mature for his age and size, heís athletic both in terms of his strength in battles and through his powerful forward and backwards skating motions, heís confident with the puck, and heís a heady lockdown defender who showed he could take on tough assignments and excel as a rookie last season."

Tony Ferrari - Dobber Prospects - Sept. 12th: "He has the size, speed, and strength combination that you look for in a number one defenseman and he still has an element of rawness and some physical maturity to come. His defensive game is mature beyond its years, with the ability to defend positionally or engage physically."
