Lucas Raymond's Player Profile

Bob McKenzie -TSN - Sept. 16th: "The right-shot Swedish right winger has elite creativity and game-breaking skill. Hes generally viewed as a more natural playmaker than goal scorer but hes certainly capable of finishing plays."

Craig Button -TSN - Sept. 16th: "Outstanding sense, calm and poise with the puck and while he may appear trapped at times, it's a trap he has set for his opponents. A top-end playmaker, but also a sneaky-good goal scorer."

Cam Robinson - Dobber Prospects - Sept. 2nd: "An explosive winger who is equally dangerous with his shot or pass. Moves with quickness and handles the puck at a high-level even at top speed. His puck skills are fluid, controlled and capable of embarrassing."

Ryan Kennedy - The Hockey News - Aug. 20th: "The more well-rounded of the Terror Twins, Raymond is playing for a great program back home in Sweden and could very well be preferred over Holtz by some NHL teams."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Aug. 19th: "Raymond is a truly unique blend of poise, deft puck skills, blind playmaking, speed (both in terms of standstill bursts and lateral edge work) and creativity. Match that with constant puck pursuit and youve got a player who wants the puck and has the talent necessary to make just about any play happen once he gets it."

Craig Button - TSN - Aug. 12th: "Solved Askarov with a hat trick in Gold Medal game at U18 Championships in April 2019, including the golden goal in OT. An exceptional offensive talent with creativity that reminds of Mitch Marner."

Steve Kournianos - Sporting News - July 31st: "An explosive winger with a hunter's approach to the neutral zone, Raymond checks every box when it comes to generating offense off the rush or forecheck. He is constantly in motion, using timely reads followed by a quick burst to immediately shift the ice against the opponent."

Chris Peters - ESPN - June 27th: "The exceptionally skilled and smart forward has played beyond his years for a while now. His 48 points were the most ever by a U17 player in Sweden's top U20 league. Only four players who appeared in 20 or more games in the SuperElit had more than Raymond's 1.30 points per game, and two of them are the Sedin twins."
