Lucas Raymond's Player Profile

Cam Robinson - Dobber Prospects - Apr. 1st: "An explosive winger who is equally dangerous with his shot or pass. Moves with quickness and handles the puck at a high-level even at top speed. His puck skills are fluid, controlled and capable of embarrassing."

Mike G. Morreale - NHL.com - Mar. 20th: "He plays a strong two-way game with excellent vision, intensity and a good wrist shot. Raymond, who had 10 points (four goals, six assists) and 32 shots on goal while averaging 9:48 in ice time in 33 SHL games, has a nose for the net and is a tremendous asset on the power play and penalty kill."

Mike G. Morreale - NHL.com - Mar. 6th: "He plays a strong two-way game, offering excellent vision, intensity and good wrist shot."

Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - Mar. 4th: "Tough player to nail down based on limited opportunity in the SHL. Thereís still plenty of book on this player for the sheer number of games heís played above his age group."

Mike G. Morreale - NHL.com - Feb. 5th: "He plays a strong two-way game, offering excellent vision, intensity and good wrist shot."

Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - Feb. 5th: "Good hands, can play fast, has excellent creativity and playmaking ability. Stuck between leagues the same way as Holtz."

Tony Ferrari - Dobber Prospects - Jan. 29th: "While many have downgraded Lucas Raymond based on his lack of production, opportunity, and visibility, the skill-set and IQ that the young Swede possesses is far too tantalizing for a drop in these rankings. He has the upside of an elite scoring winger who plays a solid 200-foot game, nearly equaling the potential of LafreniŤre and Byfield."

Brock Otten - McKeen's Hockey - Jan. 21st: "Raymond is a dynamic, quick strike offensive player."

Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - Dec. 4th: "Numbers playing against men (five points in 16 games) are mitigating due to lack of ice-time. Should excel once again at the world juniors, which would be a big confidence booster."

Will Scouch - Scouching.ca - Nov. 19th: "He's an exceptionally skilled player under pressure, creative in transition and in the offensive zone, and can be a very dangerous offensive quarterback. His upside is tremendous, but he has been a hard player to get a read on early."

Ryan Kennedy - The Hockey News - Nov. 10th: "Highly skilled and can create and finish. The more well-rounded of Swedenís Terror Twins. Heís also a clutch player."

Jokke Nevalainen -Dobber Prospects - Nov. 4th: "His ability to generate speed through the neutral zone is hard to miss but heís also capable of dancing around opposing players by using his edges very well. His hands are elite and the best among this group of prospects, and itís difficult to find anyone as creative as him."

Tony Ferrari -Wings Nation - Nov. 4th: "Raymond is one of the best playmakers in this draft class and isnít afraid to show his creativity with the puck. He has lightning-quick hands and the ability to keep the puck on a string at high speeds."

Scott Wheeler -The Athletic - Nov. 4th: "His creativity, lateral edge work and cross-ice vision will make him a star in the NHL and a dynamic power play threat capable of breaking open games in a moment."

Chris Peters -ESPN - Oct. 22nd: "He has skill, a good shot and a good understanding of time and space in the offensive zone. And he's particularly deadly on the rush. He isn't a very big guy, but he has some good strength and can get to the middle of the ice well."

Corey Pronman -The Athletic - Oct. 15th: "Heís got an elite brain and can make plays like few others. Heís an undersized player who isnít a top-end skater, which has led to some adjustment to the pro game."

Sam Cosentino -Sportsnet - Oct. 2nd: "Another well-rounded player who is capable of playing in all situations and up and down the lineup."

Bob McKenzie -TSN - Sept. 16th: "The right-shot Swedish right winger has elite creativity and game-breaking skill. Heís generally viewed as a more natural playmaker than goal scorer but heís certainly capable of finishing plays."
