Jake Neighbours' Player Profile

Tony Ferrari - Dobber Prospects: "Neighbours’ is a deceptively fast player who likes to get in on the forecheck. He plays with an edge and knows how to operate in any role offensively."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Sept. 21st: "I wouldn’t say that Neighbours is a particularly explosive or agile skater, nor does he have some of the dynamism in his handling required to earn first-round marks for me"

Chris Peters - ESPN - June 30th: "Neighbours is a sturdy player who is tough to take off the puck. His skating stride is a bit clunky, but he gets where he needs to be, delivers body checks and makes things more difficult on opposing players in all zones."

Mike G. Morreale - NHL.com - June 22nd: "Neighbours (5-11, 195) is a tough middle-six forward with deceptive speed, good vision and playmaking ability. Neighbours can play the power play and penalty kill, and scored 70 points (23 goals, 47 assists), had 228 shots on goal and 19 power-play points (three goals, 16 assists) in 64 games."

The Hockey Writers - May 22nd: "Neighbours plays a 200-foot game and has a gritty, nasty side to him. He has a quick first step and he is quick to get in on the forecheck and he loves to play with physicality."

The Hockey WritersJosh Bell - May 22nd: "He has the skill to be a top-six guy and the strength and physicality to play anywhere in the lineup. He’s a player that could one day be used up and down the roster."
