Hendrix Lapierre's Player Profile

Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - Dec. 4th: "Injuries continue to pile up for the second straight season and that has given reason for caution."

Will Scouch - Scouching.ca - Nov. 19th: "I have to feel for Hendrix Lapierre. I'm usually not afraid of drafting injured players, but three concussions in under a year, an injury that is often easier to get the more you have, is legitimately concerning."

Ryan Kennedy - The Hockey News - Nov. 10th: "Dynamic playmaker opened a lot of eyes at the Hlinka-Gretzky tournament. Point-per-gamer in the ‘Q.’"

Tony Ferrari -Wings Nation - Nov. 4th: "Lapierre is the kind of player that is good at just about everything but doesn’t really have a standout trait. He produces at every level."

Scott Wheeler -The Athletic - Nov. 4th: "At his best, Lapierre is everywhere. He’s on the puck, he’s making plays, he’s getting the puck back (by winning a race or getting open as part of a give-and-go) and he’s making more plays."

Chris Peters -ESPN - Oct. 22nd: "Lapierre has solid skill and superior vision that allow him to make plays in a variety of ways while also making players around him better. He does that with quick hands and clever plays in the offensive zone to give himself some extra time and space."

Corey Pronman -The Athletic - Oct. 15th: "He has the brain, skill and all-around play to be a very good player. He skates well but lacks real explosiveness, which will be the one area to monitor going forward."

Sam Cosentino -Sportsnet - Oct. 2nd: "QMJHL rookie of the year jumped off the charts with an 11-point Hlinka-Gretzky tournament. Went somewhat under the radar last year having missed 20 games due to injury."

Bob McKenzie -TSN - Sept. 16th: "The Chicoutimi Sagueneen is a savvy, creative, playmaking centre who not only puts up points as an offensive catalyst but also plays a solid, committed game all over the ice. Maybe not a huge “wow” factor here, but the scouts who like him said he “plays the game the right way."

Craig Button -TSN - Sept. 16th: "Well rounded, two-way centre who can play every situation in the game and in every square inch of ice at a high level. The definition of substance over flash."

Cam Robinson - Dobber Prospects - Sept. 2nd: "A premier distributor with quick hands and a mind for creating. Makes plays at a high rate and often with a high degree of difficulty. Doesn’t possess high-end skating abilities, but his awareness and anticipation make up for it."
