Helge Grans's Player Profile

Cam Robinson - Dobber Prospects - Apr. 1st: "Smooth-skating, transitional defender. Enjoys activating off of the rush and owns a big point shot. Isnít as advanced defensively but has the physical tools to get there. Can make questionable decisions with and without the puck."

Tony Ferrari - Dobber Prospects - Jan. 29th: "Grans doesnít have the creativity of Wallinder but he does take a few risks at both ends of the ice. He does a decent job defensively but shows his intelligence with his positioning."

Jokke Nevalainen -Dobber Prospects - Nov. 4th: "He is prone to bad decisions with the puck at times and isnít as smart as someone like Andrae but his excellent size and right-handed shot are valuable features that Andrae doesnít have."

Scott Wheeler -The Athletic - Nov. 4th: "Grans is a long defender with a smooth stride who likes to take risks (offensively and defensively), can normally execute on them, but also often gets burned. If nothing else, Iím fascinated by the parts."

Cam Robinson - Dobber Prospects - Sept. 2nd: "Intelligent, smooth-skating, transitional defender. Enjoys activating off of the rush and owns a big point shot."

Aaron Vickers - Future Considerations - Aug. 5th: "Grans was one of just two players born in 2002 to register games in the Swedish Hockey League last season, netting five skates with Malmo. In SuperElit at 16, he had 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) in 34 games, leading all defensemen in scoring for the club. He also won a bronze medal with Sweden at the 2018 IIHF World Under-17 Challenge."

Steven Ellis - The Hockey News - Aug. 2nd: "While Grans isnít overly creative with the puck, heís extremely smart defensively and can move the puck well enough to control a power play. He was a heavy minute-muncher with Malmoís U-20 team and should play the majority of the season at the level again while throwing his name into the World Junior Championship conversation later on in the year."
