Alexander Holtz's Player Profile

Bob McKenzie -TSN - Sept. 16th: "The Swedish winger is a shooter, the perfect complement to his countryman and often times international hockey linemate Lucas Raymond. He and Raymond have displayed tremendous offensive chemistry and creativity."

Craig Button -TSN - Sept. 16th: "The definition of a shooter. He gets to the right spots at the right times, is determined to score and has a trigger fast release. Competes hard in the scoring areas."

Cam Robinson - Dobber Prospects - Sept. 2nd: "A rare type of finisher who can convert in the blink of an eye. The puck explodes off of his stick. Anticipates well and gets his body into a position to fire. Owns above-average speed and puck skills to go with the killer instinct."

Ryan Kennedy - The Hockey News - Aug. 20th: "The first of Sweden’s Terror Twins, I’m putting Holtz ahead because his scoring prowess is uncanny and I thought he was more effective at the WJSS, even if it didn’t result in numbers."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Aug. 19th: "When I think about all of the things I want in a goal-scoring winger (the release and strength to score from anywhere in the offensive zone, the skating necessary to get into open space without the puck and the power and control needed to make space with it), Holtz ticks all the boxes."

Steve Kournianos - Sporting News - July 31st: "The best pure goal scorer available for next year's draft, Holtz displays dynamic traits and is a constant breakaway threat. He's already established a reputation as one of international hockey's clutch performers, so don't be surprised if he's a top-line player on Sweden's under-20 world juniors squad."

Chris Peters - ESPN - June 27th: "The other Swedish wunderkind at the top of this draft, Holtz probably has better hand skills than Raymond does. His shot is elite, and he's the only U17 player in SuperElit history to hit the 30-goal mark, which he got on the nose in just 38 games.
