Hailing from sunny California, Demko has quickly become a goaltender to watch with his idealistic size, smooth mobility and flair for stepping up in big games. Playing a butterfly style of game, Demko’s ability to cover the net is as good as they come showing great lateral coverage along the ice. He’s an aggressive goaltender who challenges shooters and relies heavily on sound positioning. After a standout career with the US National Training and Development Program, Demko joined Boston College and was a great serviceman to them posting a 2.24 GAA and a .919 save percentage, impressive statistics for a freshman goaltender. Look for Thatcher Demko to be the first goaltender selected at the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
