Josh Ho-Sang's Player Profile

April 2014 - Josh Ho-Sang was suspended 15 games for a dangerous play that resulted in Knights defenseman Zach Bell breaking his leg in Game 3 of the first round series versus London. The suspension has been one of the most debated disciplinary actions of the season and the video can be viewed below. Ho-Sang will start serving his 15-game suspension at the start of the 2014-15 OHL season.

April 2014 - Josh Ho-Sang had a successful sophomore season recording career highs in goals (32), assists (53), points (85), plus/minus (+26) and penalty minutes (44) topping his team in scoring. He improved his defensive commitment and attention to detail but remains a high-risk style of player who relies on dangerous passing plays all too often. Heading towards the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Ho-Sang is one of the draft's top skaters and a player with big upside but he does come with some concerns - mainly, his size and carefree offensive game.
Profile from: Brendan Ross of Dobber Prospects - Apr. 14th

  • Mr. Incredible – Watch the videos and see the spin-o-rama, see the puck behave like a yo-yo, see the incredible skating and stick handling.

  • Skills – Incredible skating and stickhandling, sweet, soft passes, a natural goal scorer, elite creativity and a great shot.

  • Improvements – What I like best about Joshua is the improvements he has shown this year. He has gone from a somewhat selfish puck hog to the guy making the whole team better. In fact, since Windsor Spitfire General Manager, Warren Rychel, traded his son, Kerby Rychel, (Is no one safe these days?), Joshua has taken over as the face of the team and the team is one of the hottest in the OHL.

  • Draft placement – All over the place, ISS has him at 9 and Craig Button had him at 33rd in January, but recently moved him up to 20th. I have him currently at 20 but I will be moving a lot closer to ISS’s ranking if he keeps up his current level of play.

Offensively dynamic w/ elite creativity & hands to generate highlight reel puck rushes
