Saku Salminen's Player Profile

I did not come away exceedingly impressed in the two games Salminen played in Lake Placid. He is a late ’94 birthdate and stands tall at 6’3” 200 lbs. so you know he is getting some NHL looks. He is a big, power forward type who appeared to play third line center at NJEC with some decent stick skills, but certainly not top notch. His skating is a quality that definitely needs improvement moving lateral although seemed average while going north-south with mediocre speed. He liked to mix it up and use his big frame and the defensive game was intact. His performance at the 2013 WJC will definitely factor into his draft status.
