Brady Vail's Player Profile

Brady Vail is a prime example of the emergence of hockey in Florida and especially for players from that state in major junior hockey, something that has also been helped by the emergence of players such as Andrew Yogan and Colin Suellentrop. He came to the OHL's Windsor Spitfires after a one-year stint in the USHL and he has quickly become one of the Spitfires' more complete forwards. He had 52 points this season on a team that was hit hard by graduation; the youthful vitality in Windsor was certainly on display. Vail is not a very big player by most standards but he plays bigger than his size indicates. He has a good shot and he is quite adept at the passing game. He also enjoys the physical side of hockey, something that makes him a very complete player. With many other Spitfires from last year returning this season, it will not be hard to fathom that Vail will have one of his best seasons to date in the OHL. He should also be given consideration for the American world junior team if he has not already. The draft will only elevate his confidence which, in turn, will elevate his potential for greatness.
