Shane Prince entered the Ontario Hockey League as a member of the Kitchener Rangers for the 2008-09 season at age 15, the leagues youngest player. On January 8th, 2010, midway through his second OHL season, Prince was acquired by legendary Ottawa 67's GM Brian Kilrea in exchange for a 3rd round draft pick. Since his arrival in the nations capital Prince has blossomed into one of the leagues top scorers and brightest young stars. On January 19, 2011 Prince scored the lone goal for Team Cherry in the CHL's Top Prospects game at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Racking up 88 points in just 59 games played, Prince is amongst the CHL's top point producers eligible for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Prince has also proven to be one of the OHL's best 2 way players as evidenced with a Plus/Minus ranking of +43. Prince possesses blazing speed, a strong skill set, great vision, and hockey sense described by many as off the charts. On January 10th, 2011 NHL Central Scouting ranked Prince 35th for North American skaters in it's annual mid-term rankings. In March of 2011 the Red Line Report ranked Prince as the 11th best skater in the world amongst skaters eligible for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.Submitted by: Alain Martin
