A.J. Jenks Player ProfileConsidered by some to be a power forward, he has good size but doesn't use it enough offensively. More of a two-way player with 2-3rd line potential in the NHL. He has been on and off the 1st line in Plymouth all year, but has seen a substantial amount of time on the PK. His offensive side is a little questionably as he has had a ton of time to showcase it but hasn't quite yet at this time, could be more of a playmaker.

Big strong power forward type player that will probably end up playing on the wall despite his strong stick in the face off circle. A.J. had a very good start with 21 goals at the half way point playing in all situations. Unfortunately his junior team (Plymouth) had a coaching change at mid-point of the season and it appears to have had a negative impact on his overall production. While he continued to play solid in all 3 zones his production and consistancy had fallen off a bit. Probably the direct affect of being under utilized under the new coaching system. On the bright side it appears he kept a good attitude with the changes and never got away from his "Team First" mentality. Overall his upside is still big and largely untapped at this point. Needs to work on his consistency, using his body, getting more involved in the offensive zone and using that heavy shot he possesses. Once he figures it out (and he should) he will be a nice pick for someone.
