Chris Peters - Flo Hockey - June 3rd: "Vaisanen is not a very flashy defenseman, but he is a smart one. A calm puck-mover with fluid mobility, Vaisanen can make the game look easy at times. He’s average sized for a defenseman and lacks a dynamic element, which might make it harder for him to find a role."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - June 3: "He’s a comfortable distributor, shooter (he’s got a hard shot) and handler with the puck, even if his skill level on offense is a little vanilla. I have questioned his decision-making in control at times (he has been prone to coughing pucks up when playing against higher-end competition), but I think some of that is just a byproduct of his age and the advanced levels he has been asked to play at."
