Marek Vanacker's Player Profile

Jason Bukala - Sportsnet - June 11th: "He has the ability to make plays in small areas and slip off checks in the process. He leans goal scorer more than distributor. Boisvert’s skating has come a long way since last season. He’s more of a consistent threat off the rush."

Chris Peters - Flo Hockey - June 3rd: "He has some good strength and can win battles and has good work ethic away from the puck. The numbers were impressive this season, but I didn’t see any stand out skill that suggests he will be more than a middle- to bottom-six forward who can provide some scoring depth."

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - June 3: "He's got size, he's a really strong skater, he'll take pucks to the net, he protects and shields the puck well, he knows where to be and go on the ice, he's got a solid two-way game and he works to get the most out of his above-average skill. He's got the makings of a complementary winger and he knows who he is and what he's going to have to be up levels."

Corey Pronman - The Athletic - May 28th: "Vanacker isn't going to run players over, but he's a decent-sized forward who works hard, wins a lot of 50/50 pucks and gets to the net to create offense. He makes plays but I wouldn't call him a top-tier playmaker or a true offensive threat. He has the traits of a bottom six wing in the league."

Steven Ellis - Daily Faceoff - May 28th: "He’s not great defensively, for sure, but he moves so well with the puck and creates quality scoring chances on a consistent basis. He was just a depth forward a year ago, but now he’s the one doing so much of the heavy lifting for Brantford."

Jordan Harris - Dobber Prospects - Apr. 20th: "He has a good shot, good hands, and plays a decent two-way game as well. I’m not sure there’s enough high-end hockey sense or playmaking for him to find his way into a top 6 or PP1 at the NHL level, but his ability to score and play off the puck suggest he could be a solid 3rd line option on the wing."
