Josh Anderson's Player Profile

A free-agent signing of the London Knights out of the OJHL's Burlington Cougars, Josh Anderson has been a pleasant surprise in his first OHL season. He did not put up as many points as some of his teammates but his game was so multifaceted that he was easily one of the Knights' best all-around players. He had solid offensive numbers including three assists in his first OHL game. He also had a fight and his first OHL career goal not too long after. Anderson scored some really incredible goals during the season, showing his speed and his incredible skating ability, two things that make him a very good prospect. On one of the best defensive teams in the entire Canadian Hockey League, Anderson had an impressive +17. With Vladislav Namestnikov, Colin Martin, Austin Watson, Greg McKegg and Jared Knight all graduating this season, Anderson will be expected to have a bigger role in 2012-13.
