Vyacheslav Voinov Player Profile

A very quiet Russian prospect who doesn't play very quietly. Extremely explosive, plays bigger then his size would elude too, big hitter, absolutely destroyed Tavares with some body checks in the super series. Was one of the lone bright spots on D in the Super Series. Very good skater, mobile, defensively aware, has a mean streak, and a limited but useful offensive upside. Under Contract with his Russian team, and obviously the lack of a transfer agreement with Russia is a concern. Because of this could go early or late, some say his potential is greater then that of Grachev's but as always unsure of how/if he will play in North America. Could go top 10-20 or even into the second round because of this worry.
